Hondata Coil Pack Retrofit - CPR Kit

The Hondata Coil Pack Retrofit (CPR) allows distributor-equipped Honda engines to use individual coil-on-plug (COP) ignition coils. The CPR replaces the factory single-coil ignition setup with an electronic circuit capable of driving individual igniter-type coils, similar to those used on later-model Honda engines.

Designed for use with the Hondata S300, the CPR provides a coil-on-plug conversion solution for many popular Honda B-Series, D-Series, F-Series and H-Series applications.

Compatible Honda Engines:

• D-Series
• B-Series
• F-Series
• H-Series

Benefits:

• Converts compatible distributor-equipped Honda engines to coil-on-plug ignition
• Provides more spark energy than a traditional single-coil and distributor ignition system
• Allows a larger spark plug gap in forced-induction applications while helping reduce misfires
• Individual ignition coils are more durable and less likely to fail than the factory igniter and coil
• Eliminates exposed spark plug leads, reducing conducted interference with other vehicle electronics
• Can also drive a CDI controller if desired

Requirements:

• Hondata S300 system with SManager V1.4.1 or newer (not included)
• Compatible US-spec OBD1 ECU (not included)
• 4x Honda Ignition Coils (not included)

Important Notes

• The CPR is designed for US-spec rectangular OBD1 ECUs only. Square/JDM ECUs are not recommended.
• Ignition coils require a method of retention. B16A, B18C and F22A engines may use the factory spark plug cover; other applications may require an alternative method of coil retention.
• Ignition coils are not included.
• This is a race product, and cranking time may be increased compared with the factory ignition system.
